“On my tombstone when they bury me
By the river, they will carry me
Finally, I’ll be resting in peace
Finally, finally
I’ll get to fly away, somewhere, someday.”
“Tombstone” – Rod Wave
When an audience listens to this song I want them to understand different people have distinctive assessments, definitions, and views about what it means to be free. However, the fact that everyone wants to be free remains constant in all cases. Some people feel that being free is the option to be able to say whatever they want without a fear of being judged or cancelled. Others believe that it has to do with being able to go where you please when you please. Some think that it has to do with being able to choose authorities or who has the public power. While there is no universal definition of freedom, my opinion is that no matter what your definition for freedom, it’s always going to be moderated. There is always going to be someone who is going to feel differently about what you say or the way you act. You’re never going to be able to just go anywhere you choose or do whatever you want because there are restrictions, and there are other people that exist as well. You’re never going to be the sole voter deciding who runs the public; there is always going to be someone who is rooting for the other guy.
