HUSH!
Do you know how it feels to be told that what you say doesn’t matter ?
In my experience, to be free means to have privacy, a public voice, publicly being yourself, right to opinions, and personal accessories. When I say this, I mean the right to keep certain information undisclosed, the right to say what you shall please without being “hushed”, publicly being yourself meaning that I can be who I truly want to be without the world breaking me down. Personal accessories means the right to dress as I please without others’ rules or guidelines and without society’s opinions. My own experience is that I have been told that I can’t voice my opinion on certain situations because of the color of my skin. I’m also used to society trying to stop females from dressing how they felt fit them based on their racial background, looks, or weight. This hurt me, and as I got older and went to different schools, it was often said that we couldn’t wear certain kinds of clothing because it would be “distracting,” etc. This is important to me because people should be able to dress how they please and express how they feel without having to “cover up” or “shut up” . The world has too many rules, and a lot of the rules are painful to many individuals: males, females, trans, gay, bisexuals, Asians, Blacks, and the list just goes on.
